Ruba Kiwan - Head of Speech Therapy

Speech and Language Pathologist

Introduction
I am a licensed Speech and Language Therapist with over 13 years of professional experience working with children in the UAE and Lebanon. My practice is grounded in evidence-based methods and guided by strong ethical values, ensuring that each child receives the highest quality of care. With a child- and family-centered approach, I am dedicated to empowering children to develop their communication skills while supporting families throughout their journey.

Therapeutic Approach
My therapeutic approach is holistic and evidence-based, tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual. I have extensive experience working with pediatric population, addressing a wide range of conditions including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Speech Sound Disorders, Fluency Disorders, Language Delays, Learning Difficulties, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). I focus on creating individualized intervention plans that target communication, social, and functional goals, while empowering families through active involvement and training. My practice emphasizes collaboration with parents, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to foster inclusive environments where every child can reach their fullest potential.

Client Experience
I strive to create a supportive and collaborative therapeutic environment where clients and their families feel heard, valued, and empowered. From the initial assessment to ongoing intervention, I prioritize open communication, transparency, and individualized care. Each therapy plan is designed with the client’s unique strengths, challenges, and goals in mind, ensuring that progress is both meaningful and sustainable. I actively involve parents and caregivers throughout the process, providing guidance, training, and regular feedback to promote carryover of skills beyond the therapy room. My goal is to ensure that every client experiences a positive, engaging, and impactful journey toward improved communication and overall well-being.

Personal Interests
Outside of my clinical practice, I maintain a balanced lifestyle by engaging in various activities that support my personal well-being. I enjoy swimming and playing padel as part of my regular fitness routine. I also dedicate time to reading and practicing mindfulness, often through meditation by the beach. Additionally, I value social connections and spend weekends with friends, which helps me recharge and maintain a healthy work–life balance.
