Introduction
Marah Mar’i is a DOH-Licensed Occupational Therapist with over five years of pediatric experience in both Jordan and the United Arab Emirates. She has worked across schools, clinics, and community programs, enabling her to adapt therapy to each child’s individual needs. Marah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from The University of Jordan and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Neuroscience and Psychology of Mental Health at the University of Warwick. She is committed to helping children reach their full potential by fostering meaningful participation in daily life and building skills that enhance independence, confidence, and overall well-being.
Therapeutic Approach
Marah integrates Sensory Integration intervention that helps children process and respond to sensory input more effectively, with the DIR®/Floortime™ model, which emphasizes developmental progress, individual differences, and relationship-based learning through play. She creates individualized, child-centered, and play-based interventions that support self-regulation, communication, and functional independence. Her expertise includes working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, learning disabilities, genetic conditions, and feeding challenges, with a focus on emotional regulation, social participation, and everyday life skills.
Client Experience
In her practice, Marah creates an inviting and professional space where children feel motivated to explore, learn, and develop through play. Sessions are tailored to each child’s strengths and needs. Marah’s collaborative approach with families, teachers, and support teams ensures that therapy extends beyond the session, helping children achieve meaningful growth, greater independence, and long-term well-being.
Personal Interests
Outside of her professional work, Marah enjoys creative activities, mindfulness practices, and continuing to expand her knowledge and skills through professional development and research. This passion for learning informs her holistic perspective on therapy and reinforces her belief that supporting a child also means nurturing the well-being of their family, creating a balanced approach that fosters both growth and connection.
